Those who have been following my blog since the beginning know that Sabrina was not only one of our first fosters, but one of our first boarders too. She considered our house her home away from home. I am sad to say that she suddenly died on Tuesday. She would have been 10 in June. Not sure of the exact cause.
Sometimes she would be over when it was just her with our kids. On the couch of course.
Even when there was a big group at the house, Sabrina did not consider herself a mere boarder, and took her rightful place with our kids on the couch. She is in the corner spot between Stella and Stanley.
Sometimes she experimented with a new place to rest.
She was our model on a couple of posts for removing corns.
She was also our last boarder at the old house. She was supposed to come down this weekend to meet our new dog walker, for the next time she stayed with us.
We will miss you! You were a very sweet and very special girl.

Beautiful girl. Sure she is running with all our beloved fur babies at The Bridge.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs to you and especially her mum and dad.
It's never easy:(
Oh no!!! How sad! Very upset to hear about Sabrina, she looked so sweet. Such a shame you have lost a good pal. :(

ReplyDeleteOh how very sad. She was a beautiful girl, and clearly loved being at your place.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I would think her beautiful, since she reminds me so much of my Renie who we also lost suddenly just two weeks past her tenth birthday. Broke my heart.
Yes, I remember reading about and seeing Sabrina on your blog for a long time. So sad that she crossed the bridge but so happy to know she had homes (forever and foster) with people who loved her and will remember her always. Rest softly, sweet Sabrina -

I cry at the loss of every one whether I know them or not. I've been that way since Girly Girl left. Seems like there have been quite a few this winter season.
ReplyDeleteWe are very sorry for the loss of Sabrina.
I hate these posts. Our noble hounds are never with us long enough. What a beautiful girl. My deepest sympathy to all who loved Sabrina and are feeling the pain of her absence. Rest in peace, darling girl.
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry to hear about your loss.
ReplyDelete((((((((((Big Hug))))))
I hate that they die... I am sure dogs are in heaven though. How could they not be? You only have to look in their eyes to see their precious souls. So sorry she is gone from this earth. So sorry for you guys and her family. What a lovely, lovely girl. Asta x
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this. So sad!
