Kelli's Snow Day

Daddy, what is this white powdery stuff? We didn’t have it in Florida.
I took a big whiff, and it doesn’t really smell like anything.
But it’s making me feel frisky.
Like I’m a big flying squirrel.
Like I’m a crazy kangaroo.
It’s Zoomie time!

Ok, I’m done. Better get out my way. I’m heading back in.

  1. This weather is making my dogs crazy! Especially the 2-year olds, they have an awesome time in the snow.

  2. Ha Ha Zoomies are great!! It seems weird that we have no snow right now.
Last year at this time Dad had to use the snowblower to make paths for us.

  4. I love it! I was surprised that Flattery really wasn't that excited about it when she had the chance to really have a romp. Bunny runs like a little demon in the snow, though, and now she has the cut up pads to show for it. I guess we know who had the better idea...

  6. The good thing about being a short haired dog is, you don't come in from the snow covered in little snow marbles!

  7. Our guys have always loved a good romp in the snow, but this time they were completely unimpressed! I think they're ready for Spring!

  8. Especially love the flying squirrel picture. Everyone at our house feels that way on the day of the very first snow of the season. After that they hate it.

  9. Haha, what a great adventure for Kelli! Once she got zoomying around, I bet she loved the snow! I love seeing the pictures of greyhounds mid-run, and how they really do fly!

  11. It must be a bit of a surprise when a Florida dog meets snow for the first time! Didn't she do the high-stepping 'my feet are burning off' thing?

  12. Fantastic photo's. I wondered what makes them all go so giddy in the snow! Just showed hubby the photo of your BED and he was like OMG that's what we need, sadly our bedroom is too small LOL.

  13. I'll never know what my guys think of snow as it's just not going to happen here and it's too far to take them to any in winter. Is Kelli still loving it or has the novelty worn off? I think it would wear off for me pretty quickly.

  14. Snow zoomies! They're the best! Sadly, we have too much snow right now. Not conducive to good snow zoomies.
