The older Parker gets, the fluffier he seems to get. This requires more frequent brushing, which he does’t particularly enjoy. What he needs is a distraction, so mommy will forget about brushing.
Jenny, what do you see? A distraction?
Appears to be five wild turkeys (not the whisky) crossing the neighbor's yard.
It worked, now Parker is trying to blend in with the black dogs in the yard.
Wow, that's amazing - wild turkeys! That's something Elliot never sees when he is looking for a distraction from the dreaded brush. Well done Parker. Dip Elliot and Lynne x
Dogs can be so funny about grooming. My two looove being brushed, and yet when they see the brush come out, they run to their beds! Once I get a collar on them and take them outside, and begin brushing, they lean into it, squint their eye up and nudge me for more when I stop!
Wonder why Parker doesn't like being groomed. My Polly loves it and can go into a trance:)
ReplyDeleteTurkey! I bet Joey would love that. We used to have some at our old, old house.
ReplyDeleteMy Tommy got more fuzzy as he got older too. We have turkeys on our property some times too.
ReplyDeleteIt's Ok Parker, we don't like getting brushed either!

Ha ha ha! Good one, Parker! Thanks for a good laugh tonight!
ReplyDeleteMy golden is getting more fluffy as he gets older too! Luckily he loves being groomed and doesn't mind our daily grooming

Great job! I don't like getting brushed either, but we don't have any wild turkey in our yard only squirrels

ReplyDeleteSmart boy Parker. Thank goodness for the well placed wild turkey (even the whisky kind).
ReplyDeleteThe brush is a sometimes good/sometimes bad idea in my greyhounds minds. However, my cat Chica loves being combed and begs for it.
ReplyDeleteI love the turkeys!
Woah, wild turkeys?! What a distraction!
ReplyDeleteI hate being brushed too, poor Parker!
Pippa :)
Shiloh definitely got fuzzier with age and she started out fuzzier than parker. Glad the turkeys saved him!
ReplyDeleteSmart boy, Parker! Great use of a distraction.
ReplyDeleteThe same thing seems to be happening with my cat Pablo's fur. Wild turkeys would be a huge distraction here.
ReplyDeleteBTW not sure if you were aware but you're famous (sort of):
