Toofless Tuesday

ETS happens for many reasons in greyhounds. Losing teeth does not help. Stanley lost a couple of teeth on the same side after his last couple of dentals.
But Alle had to have all her teeth pulled as she is allergic to her own plaque/tartar.

  5. I have never heard of that before. Never mind Alle, that pureed meat is so much easier to suck up :)

  6. I have heard of some greys being allergic to the plaque/tartar. Bowser is almost 3 and his teeth and gums are horrible!

  7. Wow I'd never heard of a hound being allergic to their own plaque/tartar. Still, they are SO cute when their tongues hang out.

  9. I've never heard of that either. Also, it never occurred to me that teeth help to keep the tongue inside their mouth, lol! Poor Alle. No toofs at all now :( At least she will feel much better without them even if she can't have bones any more.

  10. I've never heard of that, either! How did they diagnose her?

Poor gal. She is still gorgeous though, and can now pull off a spectacular ETS!

  13. I wish I could look this cute with little or no teeth. Now there's a post...What do you feed a dog with few or no teeth? I never hear Freedom or Casper chewing. They just seem to inhale their kibble, so I imagine I wouldn't have to change their food.
